A rave is a
large dance party that involves loud EDM (electronic dance music). It
usually involves the use of illegal drugs such as methamphetamine, ecstasy
and morphine. In some countries, rave parties are illegal due to the high rate
of drug usage at these parties. However, in countries such as the United
States, raves take place as actual legal festivals. Since the beginning of
raves, there has been a "rave culture". This involves glow
sticks, tattoos, and piercings, dancing, laser shows, and of course, drug
usage and alcohol. But along with this, there has always been a particular
dress code, Rave Clothing, for these parties.
The dress code
has evolved from time to time, but the psychedelic aspect of rave
fashion has remained intact since day one. In the contemporary
times, Rave Clothing differentiates from party to party. The
main characteristics of rave clothes are neon colors,
cartoons, fur boots, neon dyed hair, Kandi jewelry. Rave fashion
is a way for ravers to express themselves in the wildest of ways. As not all
parties have dress codes, some people show up in eclectic
attire while others are casual wearing jeans and t-shirts.
