Different kinds of corner bead like drywall trim and drywall outside corners and edges joints with other stuff to make an unprocessed and uneven look. Or you may require a big portion of time that would spend to try to build up the corners straight or sharp edges. The sharp edges are made through cutting tools and then joint compounds.
However, these attempts can
work well in the short run, and the corners can easily damage with little
building settlement. But corner bead can adjust nearly with every wall design.
From any angle or corner, they will be turned at all. But they have main
categories that you must consider which is suitable for you.
Metal corner bead is common and
less expensive galvanized metal. It is easily applied even with the help of
screws, nails, adhesive, and staples. Besides, it shows resistance against rust
and can stand up well with the one installation.
Vinyl corner bead is the metal
of plastic version and less likely to transport damage. You can install this
bead with the same technique. But you may require a special corner bead with mesh if you are not
using mechanical fasteners.
Drywall J-bead and L-bead are
popular with the cross-sectional outlines. J-beads give the cap of the
wallboard sheet, and L-bead is longer than others because it covers the entire
drywall edge when it meets with the different materials.
