Why electronic recycling is important?


Society is often benefitted by the recent flooding of cheap Universal Appliances. The instant growth of All Electronics, have made Electronic Recycling a real issue of the present day. The growing problem of electronic waste has to be dealt with due importance and seriousness so that the consequent problems can be reduced to good extent.
Policy makers and industry giants have to give much attention to this major threat to civilization and culture of the humankind. Most consumers do not know how the Universal Appliances can be recycled safely. It is important to make them aware of these matters.
What is e-waste?
Modern gadgets like smart phones, stereo systems, laptops, personal computers, televisions etc., which become useless or outdated after a short period of use, are commonly known as e-waste or e-scrap. This e-waste can be recycled and refurbished using different methods of recycling of All Electronics components so that they can be used again for useful purposes. Even then, also large quantity of e-waste is often dumped to landfill areas.

Only 10-15 % of precious metals are recovered from e-waste worldwide. It is estimated that costlier ores than those present in the earth’s crust present in the earth’s crust can be recovered from e-waste, if proper recycling is done.
Solid waste management
Electronic waste accumulation has escalated due to various reasons like short life cycle of these products and the explosive growth has become a major problem for the safety of the humankind. So, various authorities and Governments are giving top priority to this matter.
